Based on yelp suggestions we came here to feed our hungry selves for breakfast. The service was very nice as you can see and feel the home style charm to the place. I ordered a beach break wrap that was huge but unfortunately did not get to finish. The potato's, eggs and bacon in the burrito were a little dry but the wrap was good. Perhaps it was since I was a little under the weather but I thought my meal was just OK. I ended up taking half of it back to the room and ate it the next day. I'll never forget the cook who stormed the dining area and busted out in a well sung opera song when a certain dish was ordered. Great voice! 4 stars for the service!

What a fun new place! I absolutely love everything the dining area and the coffee bar. They have some interesting coffee, tea and hot chocolate choices. I am a huge fan of white hot chocolate, which you can't find everywhere, and the fact that you can substitute for almond milk is like a plus plus plus! The art decor is fantastic. When I asked who the local artist was for these fun, colorful, ghoulish pieces I was delighted to hear that they showcase different local artists' work weekly. This is such a great way to include the community within this local business and ing gives it a feeling of a living, breathing entity that changes with the people on Jax Beach. The menu itself is printed nicely with their specialties. As I do to gage breakfast places, I ordered their take on the classic breakfast sweetly named "Sunrise Breakfast", I made mind a super since I wanted to try their cheesy grits. My sunnyside up eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was sweet tasting which threw me off but tasty nonetheless, and the toast was standard. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use on the grits, either way they were very yummy. My date had the Pura Vida omelette, which he reluctantly added a $1.49 extra egg to as their omelettes are weirdly made with 2 eggs. The omelette was wonderful otherwise with a generous amount of cheese. I look forward to coming back and trying out their other dishes. Brunch is advertised on their shirts (which are super cute btw) but I don't know what it entails. Can't wait to discover more!

I had a nice lunch here this afternoon. The service was nice and attentive. I enjoyed the House Hash. It's a pretty big portion. The atmosphere is wonderful and I would return to try other things. The only downside is that they don't have alcohol. I would return!

Excellent customer service, great menu selections of various boutique coffee flavors and the food is fantastic! SERIOUSLY the best pancakes around!! No joke!!

Great food and service. Had to wait a little bit but it was worth it. I had the corned beef and hash. Everything was fresh and light. The coffee bar had a special today. Banana with chocolate and espresso. It was delicious.

Very enjoyable for breakfast with many locally sourced options including Howler Monkey Caribbean hot sauces and locally baked bread. Both were so good we bought some to bring home. The House Hash was amazing and there are several other varieties to try on future visits. Also really enjoyed the Mexicali Burrito. Reminded me of my favorite breakfast option when I lived in Texas. There are inside, outside and bar counter seating options with very friendly service. For you coffee drinkers out there they have what looks like a good mix of specialty coffees and hot chocolates. Mimosas and beer also available.

This place has some really tasty bfast items! I'm a full on meat eater, but the tofu scramble is amazing! My daughter ordered it, I had a taste, now it's my favorite dish. My only real knock on this place is that they allowed some dirty hippies to play music on their bluetooth jam box inside the restaurant. I'd rather get some secondhand smoke than listen to Greatful Dead!!

Such a cozy breakfast spot. We went on 4th of July and i expected a wait and there wasn't one (super surprised and a little apprehensive). There was no need to be worried. Breakfast was delicious!!! I ordered the split open and melt, such a good choice and the cold brew, best I've had so far. Next time I'm in Jax I will be coming back! Another note: the chef came out and sang for a certain breakfast dish, he was awesome!

Accommodating service and good breakfast food. We had a big group of 20 people and other places turned us down but The Loving Cup accepted our party. They had great servers that were quick and friendly even though we sat outside by ourselves. The coffee was delicious and we weren't charged for it. I had the Left Coast omelette with mushroom, avocado, and Swiss. Came toast and cheese grits. The omelette was cooked well and very healthy. A bit on the bland side but with some ketchup it's good. Avocado slices were fresh and placed on top which made it easy to smear onto toast. The grits.... Gosh I can't say enough good things about the cheese grits.... Its so so so delicious!!! I loved it. It was creamy and thick and amazing. I wish I could order an entree size of it. A very cozy and good breakfast place.

Lack luster service with a side of lack luster food. Kinda hard to eat as creepy paintings stare down at us. Waitress seemed disinterested with us she was only quick at giving the check and taking payment.

This is a great new breakfast and lunch spot! You can tell they use high quality ingredients and really put care into making meals. I've been here twice so far (would have been three times but they are closed on Mondays). The atmosphere is really cool and comfortable inside and the staff is extremely friendly. They were pretty busy the second time I came in and several servers came by to greet us while the hostess was figuring out which table would be best. The first time I ordered the Health Conscious Hash with eggs. I love that they use local ingredients. The root veggies were a bit strong but that's my fault for not asking which ones would be in the hash, which included delicious sweet potatoes and carrots and then parsnips and something else that overpowered it a bit. I also subbed a biscuit for toast. Highly recommend trying their biscuits! It's more like a biscuit/muffin hybrid but doughey and with a kick of pepper. Trust me, just try it! Yesterday, when I went back, I wanted to try their lunch offerings but the Beach Break Wrap looked way too tempting. I ordered it without bacon and a side of fries. (Frites as they are called on the menu). Wrap was delicious! It comes in a sundried tomato tortilla with eggs, Yukon gold potatoes and cheddar cheese. And "thick cut bacon" but I opted out of that. When it came out, it looked like it might have had a piece of bacon in it but it was potato skin and the server let us know they actually make sure not to ever use pans for pork that they use for non pork, which I thought was great. My friend ordered the Hash House Hash and loved it. She also got a side of cheese grits, which she thought were really good as well. My fries were a little undercooked so next time I will order them extra crispy but that's my only complaint. I also got a Chai Latte which is a do-over! Delish. Overall, both experiences have been great, albeit a little pricey, but they use local, high quality ingredients and you pay for your health one way or another! Definitely give this place a try! I can't wait to go back. (Apologies for the pics of half-eaten food pics but we were Hangry! Another plus is that the food arrived very quickly!)

Found this place close to the the condo we are staying at about 5 to 10 minutes walk. We were accommodated fast. Ordered white mocha latte but wasn't expecting it cold. I should have said extra hot! The food was okay I ordered the hash house special. Service was kinda odd. Odd in a way that our server was just passing us by just to say she's checking on us. Price was just fine.

First trip to The Loving Cup Hash House. Enjoyed the Hash House Benni. Come on, I had to try it, right!? I've never had anything like it. The food was awesome. The environment was super cool, beachy and hip. The food was very fresh and presented like a fine dining restaurant. The menu had unique items plates but also included some of the favorite classics. I came with my 4 year old and she destroyed the pancakes and bacon. She approved as well. Makenna was our server. She did an awesome job. She paid attention to the details and provided first class service. Enjoy!

We stumbled upon this little slice of paradise for Sunday breakfast. Walking in you can smell the coffee which smells great even though I don't drink coffee. We were sat rather quickly. Place was about 3/4 full. Our waitress greeted us and I asked if they had French toast which they don't usually serve but they said they would make it for me which I thought was awesome. The food was pretty good. Not the hands down best ever but I'm happy and my tummy is full. Overall I really liked this place and if we're ever back this way we will come by for sure. Also our waitress was Julia I think her name was. She was great!

I was told about this place by a co-worker and being new to the area, I figured I would give it a try. I went with my wife and daughters for brunch and loved that they were kid friendly. I had the 'Hash House Hash' with eggs over easy and it was delicious. I also tried the 'Chirizo Gravy and Biscuits' and loved it. I can't wait to go back.

So good! Good place to bring family! Great atmosphere, quick service, and the staff is entertaining. The last time I visited the host spontaneously went into opera solos. They have early bird specials as well

This is my husbands and my favorite breakfast place. The food is awesome, the staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. Even at peak hours when it is slammed they always have everything on point.

As I always say I give places two visits. Well this visit was full of lows and an almost high. I will say that the hash got a smidge better. They cut everything a little smaller so it would cook better. The food still came out on the cooler side. Not much hot but at least it wasn't raw this time. The service was still really slow even when it was there. I mean I sat for 10 minutes and went though my mail and most of facebook till I was asked about a beverage or food. Even after I got my beverage it had to be filled before I ordered. I wish these folks would wake up a bit ad smell the coffee. The service needs fixing and the food well......

Amazing vibes, food and service. Have been into the restaurant three times now and every time every little thing was cooked to perfection. Noted: I added avocado to my dish the last two times and it was perfectly ripe and was the freshest avocado I have ever tasted while dining out. They have great coffee as well. Best breakfast at the beach!

We arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday for brunch - they don't serve the lunch menu on Sundays so don't go if you're looking for lunch options. We ordered the crepes and "healthy" vegetarian hash dish. Crepe - they are deconstructed because, as we were told by our waitress, lots of customers were sending them back because they were cold since the ricotta filling is chilled. I didn't mind the deconstruction. But there was not nearly enough ricotta to fill the crepes, nor enough berries. We asked for an extra ricotta, which she accommodated without telling us there was going to be a charge for an extra two tablespoons of filling. She also asked us if we wanted more berry sauce... would our waitress have charged us for that also? We got the Healthy Hash dish with two poached eggs. One poached perfectly, the other with the yolk completely cooked hard. We showed the waitress and received a second perfect egg. The potatoes of the hash are cut very small and cooked soft. I prefer my potatoes with a crunchy outside, so I wasn't a big fan of this dish. Honestly, I felt like I could've made it better at home. This highlight was the biscuit. It is shaped like a muffin and not your traditional buttery, flakey biscuit. Its got a bit of a kick to it, and it was tasty with a slather of butter and drizzle of honey. This restaurant is still new, I hope these are kinks they're working out and they can improve their customer service. Oh, we also got some interesting singing while someone (chef?) uncorked a bottle of champagne for mimosas for a table of his friends. That was pretty cool.

Went a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. Worst place ever. First we only got half of our meal, the pancakes came out too thin so they decided to remake them. We appreciated that but after 30 minutes of waiting and no drink refills they bring out crepe thin pancakes! They said "sorry, we don't know what keeps happening but they'll still taste good!" We were annoyed by then especially since I ordered a muffin and that took 30 minutes to come out even though they were sitting right there in the case. They gave us an extra one (which I thought was an apology for the pancake situation but it wasn't.) When we were paying and after they ran my credit card they apologized for taking so long to find the bill because it turned out to be a different total. After the server gave us the bill, she went and added the extra muffin to it, and the manager ran my card knowing that the total was higher and didn't tell me. Even though it's only a few dollars, it was really unprofessional and very sketchy. I was a server for years so I'm really forgiving when it comes to mistakes but all of those added up is just ridiculous. This was the worst restaurant and dining experience I've ever had and I've had some pretty bad ones. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The one star is for the coffee I guess, that was really good but cold.

I wish I could write a better review but I had the Beach Break Wrap (without the tortilla). It was luke warm not hot. The taste was good wish it was warmer when i got it. Service was good and the waitress was friendly. Another issue is the entrances. There are 3 and no good signage directing patrons to where they should go. They need to limit the entrances or put up better signs. We entered from the front (3rd St) and it wasn't the correct entrance-we didn't drive so we didn't have to park.

Sunday brunch- showed up at 11:20 and offered a 20 minute wait. At 1245 we were served a cold breakfast. Tough to screw up scrambled eggs , bacon, biscuit and cheese grits. They managed.

A great addition to the line-up of excellent eateries available in Jax Beach! We enjoyed excellent service throughout our dining experience, enhanced by the eclectic decor and relaxed ambiance. Our breakfasts were fresh and delicious, as was the coffee and iced tea. Highly recommend The Loving Cup Hash House.:))

The worst part of The Loving Cup was choosing my entree. So many perfectly crafted descriptions and flavorful, but health-conscious ingredients! We chose prime time and dined during the Sunday Brunch rush about 1:00 (brunch is late when you're a beach bum). Despite a slammed restaurant and the fact that we chose our own table (rather than allowing the host to follow a rotation) our server AND the staff worked hard to be incredibly hospitable. While it was a slow start, we were perfectly ok with the service pace because we were studying the menu carefully. Our server was friendly, polite, did her best to appease us and was able to point us in the right direction on the menu and tailor our selections with the perfect substitutions. Once ordered, our entrees were out promptly. I decided on the Salmon Benedict and wish I would have taken a picture of it in all its glory. Perfectly flaky baked salmon on an English muffin. As you would expect, poached egg and hollandaise. The hollandaise sauce had a nice twist with the addition of fresh dil which perfectly complimented the salmon. Finally, the dish was masterfully topped with sautéed arugula which kept it in pace with the healthful focus of the atmosphere and menu. Gliding your fork through the first bite allows the egg to run out into the sauce and soak deliciously into the muffin while covering your salmon... Biting into it with a kick of dil and following it with the green avoids my redundant critique of a Benedict dish's perceived weight-- this was delicious and NOT too heavy! I had enough room to finish up with a fruit cup which was delightfully full of pineapple and berries on top of the traditional melon. My fiancé had the name's sake hash. I only had a bite of the corned beef (which was done perfectly) but I enjoyed seeing a hash that wasn't overdone on the griddle. The peppers and were cooked through but still retained their shape, flavor, and snap... Again-- healthy! He also couldn't resist a chocolate chip pancake! Let me just say I've had a lot of pancakes a lot of places, but this was particularly airy and fluffy! Hats off! Finally, our coffees were kept full and hot through the duration of the meal. A big plus. Also, a young woman I assume was a manager, noticed we had a bit of a wait in the booth before our orders were taken, while this wasn't a big deal to us (maybe because we've both worked service industry, maybe because we were enthralled by the menu) she had boxed us up a piece of cheesecake to take home!!! I'm eating the cheesecake right now. I could go on about it, but I think telling you it inspired this review is complimentary enough! You've gotta try it. I plan on returning this week to try the lemon crepes with sweet ricotta filling and raspberry compote!!!!!!!!

Loved it. Sat at the bar like we usually do at breakfast places and had instant service. Super friendly staff and we soon discovered pretty awesome house coffee. We both got the Mexicali burrito and added avocado. Yum !! Added some howler monkey sauce for added kick and there was nothing left on the plate shortly after. Annnnddd coffee to go! Yep. Possibly a new fav place. It just needs bike parking!

The owner of The Loving Cup Hash House has transformed the interior of the old Marios from cold and stark to warm and inviting. I ordered coffee which arrived promptly and piping hot. The "Split Open & Melt" consists of a perfectly baked egg in a split avocado with cheddar and Pico de Gallo. It was a delicious blend of flavors and healthy. The berry and cantaloupe fruit bowl was very fresh and a nice compliment to the savory egg dish. The wait staff is courteous and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Decided to come check out the new breakfast spot and I was no where near disappointed. The mocha was rich and creamy and the Mexicali Blues Burrito was a fiesta in my mouth. How can anyone NOT like chorizo for breakfast?! Definitely come and check this place out. Support local!!

Passed by this place a couple times and thought we would try it out. Hubby had the hash house hash and I had the split open and melt (basically an avocado eggs Benedict) from the fit menu. It was great. Atmosphere is laid back but good service.

We've been there several times and each time keeps getting better. Eggs Benedict always cooked perfectly. Love love love everything about this place....

  • Matthew H.

Great breakfast, they have espresso! Cool ambiance compared to diner alternatives. Nice staff! Read reviews and didn't have any issues with service or hot food. I sound like a fake review. Eggs were a little over cooked in the omelette. My wife really liked the grits, I didn't at all - they were too creamy. I like my grits pretty much how you would find them at North Beach Fish Camp. She said the herbs conflicted a bit on her plate - a lot going on.

This place was great. I went here on Valentine's day when visiting St. Augustine/Jacksonville Beach area. Very yummy. I ordered the eggs benedict. We got a side of the born beef hash and the chorizo biscuits and gravy (sooo good). Very yummy and great find!

    (5)
  • Mary P.

I had the benni of the day today. It was the fire! So good ... it was a thick slice of turkey, with walnut crusted fried green tomatoes, poached eggs, with a white cheddar gravy and crumbled bacon. I will definitely come back !!

What a fun place. We stumbled upon this gem by accident. Went to another place but there was a 30 minute wait. Don't judge a book by its cover. From the street it doesn't look that great but parking is in rear. Mexican cantina is the theme. The chef was so very friendly. He is wearing many hats today because it's busy. Food was great!!! Corned beef was fresh (home made).

    (5)
  • Elspeth D.

Huge variety with awesome coffee. Definitely try the French press. The corned beef hash was amazing, made with real corned beef not the canned stuff most places use. Great service and awesome atmosphere.

Cute atmosphere. Service was great. Food was average at best. Value for price not great. $36 (including tip) for 2 breakfasts and 2 cups of coffee.

Greeted when we walked in by the Chef and I was impressed. Ordered an omelette which was tasty and filling. Biscuit meal came with resembles a muffin and it was ok but a little dry. Chef did bring out butter and any jelly if you requested though. Potatoes on the side were luke warm and I would of much rather had hash browns. Ordered a large white mocha coffee and while it was ok, at $5.50 on the pricy side. My buddy order a wrap style sandwich and a side of biscuit and gravy. I had 1/2 of one biscuit and gravy and was delicious. With tip around $40.00. Service was very quick and any request were quickly resolved. I recommending trying this place as it is close to the beach and worth the drive.

Went here with hubs and 10 month old. It was empty when we got there around 845 am. This is a great thing for us since we have a 10 month old. We sat down ordered 1 small coffee 2.50 (ouch) and I ordered a small white mocha 4.50 (double ouch) Considering I order a grande white chocolate mocha from Starbucks for 4.28 this was made me upset when we got the check. My white mocha was sad. I drank it in 2 gulps and got a ton of foam on my upper lip. Hence the caffeine headache afterwards. Did not get enough coffee. Server was so sweet. Everyone was so nice. It pains me to write this review. As we sat and waited for our food I looked around at the paintings. I don't know they all looked like the mask from the Scream Movie staring at me. I can appreciate it but I'm glad my 4 year old wasn't there cause she would have freaked out. I think the colorful frames tricked me into thinking they were happy artwork till I looked closer. EEEEK! Our food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the health conscious hash with 2 over easy eggs chicken and rye and the local stone ground cheese grits 2.99. Oh my cheese grits....where's the Cheese!!! it was like a dash of parmesan shredded cheese. I was ashamed to ask for more cheese. I mean I'm like the cheese monster when it comes to cheese grits. I like it hooked up like some of the breakfast places we frequent. My food was good. I've made a dish like this all the time at home since we are paleo foodies mostly. I do like cheese when we are out eating. The feta gave it a nice tang with the yolk mixed into the root veggies of sweet potato. The only thing is I needed to add salt. Dude I NEVER add salt to anything when we go out to eat. Hubby got the Hash House Hash. I don't know if he was digging it cause he didn't make a comment. He was probably hungry since he did crossfit at 6am. Finally I ordered water. Which is weird because water is usually given to us without asking at breakfast places we go to at least offered. Hubby and I took a swig and oh dear it was so not good. Hubs kept saying in the car man that water was not good. Which is weird cause we love love ice water and we aren't water snobs but man it really tasted bad. I will have to give it another chance. I wish there were some Bene specials offered but it was not on the menu. I would also like to try their pancakes. I'll be back to give it a try again. I'm all about second chances.

Very good food! Everything was fresh. Not a traditional breakfast place, it had more of a Mexican/Spanish twist.

I had high hopes for this place based on reviews so it could have been an off day but I was not impressed in general by the service or food. My main complaint is the AC didn't seem to be on because everyone in the restaurant was fanning themselves so it made for an uncomfortable experience.

Brunch date! Went with my kids and the staff were friendly and fast! We ordered the eggs Benedict (vegetarian and the Beni) both were perfection. No blueberry muffins available but their poppyseed muffin was fabulous! Definitely will return - those Beni are calling my name!

  • Rachel R.

Service was standard, she came by got the drinks, checked in through out the meal the perfect number of times. The food was mediocre. Based off of previous reviews was why we checked this place out. If you're looking for a short menu with healthy options that are straight forward with taste I recommend it (bland). Eggs are eggs but it's nothing I couldn't make at home with ease. Cafe bombon is a sweet spot with me, espresso with condensed milk, it was perfectly made! Quiet atmosphere and a good set up with tables and booths. Overall it's a decent breakfast/brunch place but nothing to really rave about.

So many little pieces that weren't right. The overwhelming pine cleaner smell was awful. Shouldn't your restaurant smell like coffee, eggs & bacon? Spoons left out of our roll ups. Needed Splenda or Truvia. Coffee served in dirty mugs, took them back to the counter. Men's restroom was simply disgusting. Women's restroom smelled, had black mildew in the grout & dead bugs on the floor. The hash was good, the omelet was good. The toast was just cold hard bread, nothing special. Just a personal preference but I do not care for orange juice that you can chew. Each time our server came back to the table the cleaner smell was overwhelming, probably from wiping down tables. It's all in the details...

Great breakfast. We came to the beach looking for someplace new to celebrate our anniversary and found this place on Third St. The food was fresh and yummy. The red potato home fries were yummy creamy and I loves their take on corn beef hash. Check it out.

We will not be back to eat. First of all I was craving hash browns & although this is a hash house there are no hash browns. Secondly my husband ordered the $14 hash special which wasn't so special, flavorless boiled corned beef. We ended up spending over $30 on a less than a stellar brunch. Boo! Their coffee was pretty good though.

  • Lora D.

We checked in and were told it would be a 15 minute wait. Thirty minutes later still no call. So my husband went to check and was told the system crashed earlier and they must have lost our name. Anyway, they seated us right away but server was not the best or the most polite. 30 more minutes for our food which she delivers and disappears without giving us silverware. When she finally returns she said how is everything and we had to tell her we have no silverware. So our food was not that warm. Also not that good. Eggs were overcooked and omelette had no flavor. Grits were terrible!!! No idea where these people who like these come from but I was born and raised in the south and calling those cheese grits is a stretch. Needless to say we won't be back! I was generous in giving two stars just because my husband liked his burrito.

Wow, I feel like we went a completely different place than everyone else. The most I have ever paid for a pancake in my life and it was not what I ordered. After sending it back and still not being right, I gave up so we could I could eat with everyone else. Does not seem geared for kids at all. My niece ordered hot chocolate and it was a bitter Mexican chocolate. Service was not good and we were the only ones in there. A little odd. They desperately need shades on the windows, it was early in the morning and the low sun was blinding.

  • Sarah F.

The food here was very good - the hash was especially good and they do a great omelette as well. They made a mistake on two of the orders at our table (out of four), which felt a little high. One guy asked for crispy bacon and got very limp bacon and they completely messed up another's omelette order. They were quick to apologize and fix. Without those mistakes, this is easily a 4- 4 1/2 star joint.

Great new place, my friend and I are both planning to return! I had the Open and Melt - avocado with cage free egg and fresh salsa. It was delicious! We both had a pancake and I can honestly say it was one of the best, if not the best pancake I ever had! The inside was bright and inviting. The service was friendly. The Beaches have a lot of good breakfast places, but this deserves a place on that list also. This location has been a lot of different restaurants, I hope this one will last. Plenty of free parking in the back.

Great food/coffee and friendly service but need to coordinate kitchen better. We ate hear this morning while just driving around. Firstly everyone was extremely friendly and the coffee bar looked awesome. We ordered for 2 and our daughter. The food came out in waves. My omelette was hot but my wife's eggs were cold. My daughter's pancake came out with ours but we ordered an extra egg which may have been missed and came out only after reminding them. The food tasted great. The coffee bar had an amazing assortment of lattes and espressos. We tried the Nutella and it was really great. I would go back but hope they get the kitchen better organized. Also add some ceiling fans as it was a bit warm in our corner. Definitely try this place.

Super tasty... I had the open faced with grits... Super yum!!! Hubby had the Hash house and also enjoyed it... Coffee was tasty and seems to there niche ....Our waitress Julia was super friendly has a bit of an English accent which makes all things better.... The real treat was the owner who brings out special treats singing a myriad of Operatic tones.... A must try and we will return .....

Great place for breakfast/lunch/brunch. I've been meaning to stop by to try it out.... Today was the day and I'm wasn't disappointed! They have patio seating so I chose to sit on the patio. I originally ordered the Split Open Melt, but I envisioned something totally different from what showed up in my bowl (it comes in a small bowl). No problem.. My server gladly took it back and I ordered the Far East Omelette with stoneground cheese grits, wheat toast & a side of fruit. It was good and therefore I gave 4 stars and the extra star is for the 80's Music that is playing!! I LOVE THE 80's... Especially the MUSIC! Kudos! I'll definitely be back! P.S. Great customer service and very reasonable prices! Check them out!

Good food. I ordered the pancakes. $8.49 is a little expensive for two pancakes and no sides. Our waitress was a little spaced out. She brought one pair of silverware for two people. I had to get up and get my own. She came by once to fill our waters. They give you a little cup of syrup which wasnt enough and I told our waitress I needed another. Five minutes later I saw her walking around spaced out and I had to get up and find someone to give me syrup. By the look on her face when she came back she had realized she wasn't doing a good job.

Best place on Jax beach. Fresh food with awesome healthy options that's not overly fried or salty. The opposite of Beach Hut Cafe. I had the healthy Hash with two eggs over parsnips, sweet potato and goat cheese topped with a choice of local hot sauce. My wife had poached eggs over avocado and pico. Fantastic experience. Cool art on the walls was topped only by hip waitresses, fit and tattooed and very sweet and the owner who is a former opera singer who came out to sing. Fantastic experience. Do it if you can.

Excellent food. The hash house house was real corned beef (not the canned stuff you get at other places) and the hash was real potatoes (not the frozen kind) Goes on a wait on the weekends, but what breakfast place doesn't..

I went for breakfast for the first time yesterday morning and I was pleasantly surprised! So much so that we went back this morning! We ordered the typical 2 eggs breakfast with cheese grits/home fries. For $7.99 you get two eggs any way you want, 3 pieces of thick cut bacon or sausage, cheese grits or home fries and toast. On our first visit I had to send my eggs back but it's because I like my eggs well done and it wasn't done enough for me. The server was quick to take care of it and the chef personally delivered the eggs to the table. As for the rest of the meal, the cheese grits which were actually very good, no lumps and the right consistency. I tried the home fries this morning and they are fresh diced red potatoes, delicious! I will make The Loving Cup Hash House a weekend breakfast go-to spot.

I highly recommend this spot for a sit down breakfast. It's definitely a few steps up from your typical breakfast diners with great fresh ingredients and a coffee bar. It's also got some healthy options which is a great way to start the day. Everything's well priced and you get your money's worth. I prefer this place over First Watch because of the wide variety of fresh ingredients and definitely over Metro Diner because I know I can get a hearty meal without feeling like tub of mush like I often feel after eating at Metro.
